Patriotic tributes will round out two performances Friday and Saturday at the Havelock High Performing Arts Center.
Two classical ballet favorites, "Peter and the Wolf" and "The Carnival of Animals," are the heart of the programs.
"Peter and the Wolf" is a classic story written by Sergei Prokofiev in which different instruments in the orchestra represent animal characters.
"Carnival of the Animals" is based on the music by Camille Saint-Saëns and features lions, kangaroos, elephants and other exotic animals.
A patriotic tribute includes music and dancing that pays tribute to America and its heroes.
The Dancing Daddies will be making their annual appearance as well.
Performances are 7 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. Advance ticket purchase is recommended, and the cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the Center for the Performing Arts dance studio on East Main Street.
For more information on the performances, call the center at 349-0259.
