Havelock Council No. 6648 of the Knights of Columbus has started a fundraising project for the purpose of acquiring a high-definition, 3-dimensional ultrasound machine for the Havelock Pregnancy Resource Center.

As part of the effort, the council has scheduled a dinner and silent auction beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Annunciation Catholic Church parish hall in Havelock.

The cost of a dinner ticket is $15, and the meal includes tomato basil soup, roasted chicken breast, sauteed green beans, Italian mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy and dessert.

A table sponsorship is $250, which includes recognition on the Board of Sponsors wall.

Donation for items for the silent auction are also being requested.

The ultrasound machine is designed to allow prospective mothers the opportunity to see in real time their child in the womb.

Checks for dinner tickets or for general donations can be made to Knights of Columbus Council No. 6648, noting ultrasound in the memo slot.
