Letter: Sewer project adds more debt for city

"Havelock is open for business," a quote from the mayor of Havelock. The one and only, we bow down, Jimmy Sanders.

Open for business: Another $11 million in debt plus all the other debt. Even without interest and over 40 years, the $11 million comes to $23,000 per month payback. But no need to worry. The current elected officials will be long gone when it all comes crashing down.

Open for business: With higher utility rates mainly for residents. What about the businesses?

Open for business: With higher trash collection rates for all.

Open for business: With higher property taxes for all, not just city but county as well.

Open for business: With higher business taxes and fees.

Havelock is open for business and has always been. With the current economy and the status of the military, the performance of the F-35 fighter jet, only an all-out World War III would save the city of Havelock and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, and do not kid yourself. It is not if, it is when. Thanks to the military industrial complex.
