ASHEBORO — The S.A.L.T. Council (Seniors And Law Enforcement Together) and the N.C. Baptist Aging Ministry (NCBAM) is hosting a safety presentation on fire and fall prevention for older adults.

The presentation will take place at the Randleman Senior Center, 144 W. Academy St., Randleman, on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m.

NCBAM South Central Director Robert Leonard will present “Remembering When,” a program developed by the National Fire Protection Association. The goal of “Remembering When” is to help older adults live safely at home for as long as possible by focusing on two areas: falls and burns.

Information is centered on 16 key safety messages (eight fire prevention and eight fall prevention). The presentation includes activities, lessons and nostalgic questions regarding music, events and celebrities from days gone by. Prizes will be awarded.

This program is free and open to the public.
