Autumn Affair, Pickleball, Friday Feast all scheduled

1 Autumn Affair

The Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Plains has scheduled its annual Autumn Affair fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center.

The event includes dinner, music from The Band Allison, dancing, a raffle and live auction.

Tickets are $25 each with proceeds going to support the Havelock Boys and Girls Club.

2 Pickleball Marathon

Annunciation Catholic School has scheduled a fundraising Pickleball Marathon beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at the school gym.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the school’s physical education department.

3 Friday Feast

Cherry Point United Methodist Church in Havelock has scheduled a Friday Feast beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the church.

The menu includes barbecue pork, baked beans, coleslaw, hush puppies, rolls, dessert and drink for $8. Take-out plates will also be available.

During the event, those attending will have the opportunity to bid on their favorite cake in the Battle of the Bakers. Proceeds will go toward the United Methodist Committee on Relief to help hurricane victims. Donations will also be accepted.

Cherry Point United Methodist Church is located at 103 Methodist Drive across from Havelock Middle School.

4 Member Appreciation

The Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation has scheduled its Fall Partnership and Member Appreciation Event from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center.

Members receive two tickets to the event. The cost for non-members is $10 each.

The casual event includes a catered meal and cash bar and the chance to participate in some of the STEM activities associated with the children’s summer day camp.

5 Beach Music Festival

The Emerald Isle Beach Music Festival is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Western Ocean Regional Access in Emerald Isle.

The free concert includes Sammy O’Banion, the Fantastic Shakers, the Band of Oz, Too Much Sylvia, The Embers and Ken Knox and Chairmen of the Board.

Food trucks will be available, but no beer or wine will be sold at the event. Beer and wine is permitted on the beach strand but is prohibited in all areas of the regional access.

Parking will be permitted along N.C. 58, but only those with handicapped parking stickers will be allowed to park in the regional access parking lot.
