'The Sound of Music' continues in New Bern
1. Cherry Point Baptist to host Saik
Cherry Point Baptist Church in Havelock will host a concert by Paul Saik at 6 p.m. Sunday in the church sanctuary.
The concert is free but an offering will be taken.
Saik is the director of music ministries at Centenary United Methodist Church in New Bern and is known for his play of the piano and organ as well as his singing.
Cherry Point Baptist Church is located at 210 Church Road in Havelock.

2. 4EverAll to perform at Fort Macon
The Fort Macon Summer Concert Series continues with a performance by the band 4EverAll from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday inside the fort in Atlantic Beach.
The band plays a contemporary mix of music.
Blankets, chairs and picnics are allowed but alcohol and pets are prohibited.

3. ‘Sound of Music’ continues
RiverTowne Players continues “The Sound of Music” this week with 8 p.m. shows Friday and Saturday and a 3 p.m. show Sunday at the Masonic Theatre, 514 Hancock St., New Bern.
Shows are also scheduled for 8 p.m. Aug. 4 and 5.
Tickets are $16 in advance, $19 at the door and $10 for students.

4. CedarFest scheduled
Cedar Point on N.C. 24 in Carteret County has scheduled CedarFest from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The event includes arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, live music, entertainment and children’s activities.
Admission is a non-perishable food donation.

5. Bearfoot Monty schedules kickstarter event
The New Bern band Bearfoot Montys is featured at an EP — extended play kickstarter benefit show Saturday at The Brown Pelican, 411 Broad St., New Bern.
The extended show, with a number of musical guests, will be from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m.
The Pelican is a private club, with memberships available at the door and no cover for events.
Funds for the band’s endeavors will come through donations and raffles. The full lineup begins at 5 p.m., with Aaron Davenport, followed by The Take Kindlies, Asha Goodwin, John Parker Jr., Wilson White, Holly Millar, Thick Modine and Bearfoot Monty.
