Incidents happened Monday, Tuesday in Havelock

A Havelock teenager has been charged in connection with a series of break-ins earlier this week.

Trestin Everette, 17, has been charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering of a building; two counts of larceny after breaking and entering; one count of felony breaking and entering of a vehicle; one count of felony larceny of a firearm; and one count of misdemeanor larceny, according to a release from the Havelock Police Department.

Police received 15 reports of vehicle break-ins from late Monday into early Tuesday in the areas of John Court and Brown Boulevard, according to the release. Items stolen included luggage, cash, cell phones and tablets. Some of those items have been recovered, according to the release.

Everette was caught in the area of the break-ins, and the investigation led police to believe he was also involved in two home break-ins near Rice Lane, according to the release.

Everette was placed in the Craven County Jail under a $7,500 bond.

The investigation is continuing and more charges are possible, according to the release.
