This year we want you to Celebrate National Library Week, April 9–15, with the Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center.

National Library Week is recognized and celebrated nationally by librarians and library lovers alike. With the theme this year, "Libraries Transform," we wanted to give our community a creative way of sharing their love for the library via social networking.

Share your love for the Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center at any one of our eight locations where we will be giving away "I love my library" fans and buttons. We encourage you to post selfies with these giveaways on Facebook and/or Instagram tagging the library and using the hashtag, #ilovemylibraryccplic. Please share on social media what you love most about your public library.

The most creative selfies at our locations will be shared on our social media pages throughout National Library Week, and the most creative selfies taken at all eight locations will be entered into a drawing for a special prize.

During the National Library Week several downtown businesses will also be sharing their love for the library. Keep an eye open for businesses with the "I love my library" sign in their window. These businesses will offer a discount to customers who show their library card.

So, if you love your library, we hope you will show it by visiting any branch and telling us why! Don't forget to tag Cumberland County Public Library & Information Center in your selfies and ask your friends to share and follow our social media pages.
