John Bosko was last seen on Sunday

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Craven County man.

John F. Bosko is believed to suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment, according to a release. The 79-year-old is described as white, 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds with short grey hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a navy blue sweater and brown leather shoes.

He was last seen on Sunday in the area of Barkside Lane, which is off Brices Creek Road. He may be driving a 2008 grey-blue Honda Odyssey van with Tennessee license plates.

Authorities believe he may be traveling with a golden retriever named Toby and traveling to either Tennessee or Pennsylvania.
