The Arts Council of Carteret County has scheduled its annual Art from the Heart show and sale.

The event opens Friday and continues until March 4 in the Morehead Plaza between Snap Fitness and Tractor Supply Store.

2. Chamber Music Festival

February’s weeklong Carolina Chamber Music Festival will kick off Sunday with the 14th annual Family Concert at First Presbyterian Church Session House, 400 New St., New Bern.

Admission is free.

Piano, voice and string students of Lorraine Hale Music Instruction, New Bern Suzuki Strings and elsewhere will perform alongside CCMF professional artists from Eastern North Carolina and beyond.

Featured composers include European greats J.S. Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Mozart alongside composers from China, Russia and America.

3. Dancing with Our Stars

The Carteret County Partnership for Children has scheduled its annual Dancing with Our Stars fundraiser from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City.

Tickets are $50 each or $600 per table and includes dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, games, entertainment, heavy hors d’oeuvres and complimentary drinks.

4. Horszowski Piano Trio

The Horszowski Piano Trio is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the History Museum of Carteret County, 1008 Arendell St., in Morehead City.

The performance is part of the American Music Festival and includes selections from Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Clarke.

Tickets are $30 each.

5. Reagan Day Dinner

The Craven County Republican Party’s Reagan Day Dinner is scheduled for Friday at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center.

The scheduled guest speaker is Lt. Gov. Dan Forest.

Social begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. The event also includes music.

Tickets are $60 each or $425 for a table of eight. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Craven County Republican Party.

King Jr. Blvd. in New Bern during its office hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursdays.
