Antiques sale, folk arts concerts part of weekend
1. Pregnancy Center Banquet
The Havelock Pregnancy Resource Center Fundraiser Banquet is scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center.
Guest speaker for the event is Marjorie Dannenfelser, who has been selected by President Donald Trump to be the National Chairperson of the Pro-life Coalition. She is also the president of the Susan B. Anthony List pro-life organization. Her presentation will focus on the national and local momentum of the pro-life movement.
The event includes a meal, music and silent auction.
Tickets are $25 for individuals, $45 for couples and $180 for a table of eight.

2. Antique sale
The annual New Bern Preservation Foundation Antiques Show and Sale is scheduled for Friday through Sunday at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center.
One ticket is good for all three days. Advance tickets are $8, and day of the show entry is $10. Tickets are available at Mitchell Hardware, 215 Craven St., in New Bern and online newbernpf.org.
More than 35 dealers from the East Coast will present fine and unusual antiques, collectibles, art, military items, toys, furniture, jewelry and much more. It’s an event for men, women and older children.
From noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, ticket-holders can bring three items to be appraised by experts.

3. Folk Arts concert
Little Windows is scheduled to perform a pair of concerts this weekend as part of the Down East Folk Arts Society concert series.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Trent River Coffee Company in New Bern, and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Joslyn Hall at Carteret Community College in Morehead City.
General admission is $16, with society members and active-duty military admitted for $13. Student tickets are $10. Prices do not include tax.
Little Windows creates a mix of Appalachian music, Irish music and traditionally based originals, with a special focus placed on unaccompanied ballads.

4. Jazz concert
A jazz concert is scheduled from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday at The Flame in New Bern.
The concert will feature “Sumthin 4 The People,” hosted by ZCups.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door; $50 for couples, with limited sales available.

5. The Fur Ball
The Fur Ball of the Crystal Coast is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Celebration Cottage in Atlantic Beach.
Tickets are $50 per person and include cocktails, dinner, music from Will Baker and silent auction.
Proceeds benefit Austin Veterinary Outreach and Rescue.
