Red Clay Ramblers, Marty Stuart to have concerts
1. ENC Bridal Show
The ENC Shows Bridal and Special Event Expo is scheduled for Sunday at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center.
Local venue tours will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the Expo from 1 to 5 p.m. at the convention center, 203 S. Front St.
The Venue Tours will be offered free to brides, their wedding party or anyone planning a special event. Guests must provide their own transportation. Each venue tour will last about 20 minutes. Tour sites will include Carolina Colours Golf Club, Abilena Plantation, The Carolina Wedding Barn, Isaac Taylor Garden, Tryon Palace and DoubleTree by Hilton.
The afternoon expo will include vendors ranging from caterers to photographers, DJs and entertainment, along with travel, florists, health and beauty experts and event attire and party rental companies.
David’s Bridal will showcase the latest in fashion at 2 p.m. At 4 p.m., there will be an old-fashioned Southern tradition known as the Cake Ribbon Pull. All brides will have the opportunity to win prizes. Door prizes will be announced throughout the afternoon, with more than $5,000 in giveaways.

2. Red Clay Ramblers
The Tony Award-winning Red Clay Ramblers are scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Joslyn Hall at Carteret Community College in Morehead City.
The Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center and the N.C. Coastal Federation are putting on the event.
Tickets are $28 for general admission and $12 for students. Tickets are $23 for either waterfowl museum or coastal federation members.

3. Marty Stuart concert
Marty Stuart, a five-time Grammy-award winner, is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Friday at the Carteret Community Theatre in Morehead City.
He plays a mix of honky tonk, rockabilly, country-rock and bluegrass music.
Fan Pit tickets are $45, orchestra tickets are $35 and general seating tickets is $30.

4. Polar Plunge fundraiser
A Polar Plunge fundraiser for the Craven County Special Olympics is scheduled for Saturday at Courts Plus, 2911 Brunswick Ave., New Bern.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the plunge will begin an hour later. The entry fee is a minimum donation of $200 for a team of up to six members. Individual entry fees are $25 and $10 for children under age 18.
All plungers will receive a free long-sleeved T-shirt.

5. Weekend concerts
The Brown Pelican, 411 Broad St., in New Bern, has scheduled a pair of weekend concerts.
Little Cecil is scheduled to play from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. The Carteret County singer performs original music.
On Saturday night, The Joe Brown Band is scheduled to perform from 8 to 11 p.m.
