1. Newport Christmas Parade
The Newport Christmas Parade is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday in Newport.
The parade starts on Johnson Street and continues to Chatham Street and then down Howard Boulevard, ending at town hall.

2. Christmas Flotilla
The New Bern Coastal Christmas Flotilla is scheduled for Saturday at Union Point Park in downtown New Bern.
Festivities begin with music by the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band from Cherry Point at 4 p.m.
The flotilla, featuring decorated boats for the holidays, will begin at the Eastern Carolina Yacht Club and will sail past Union Point Park around 5 p.m., continue on to Council Bluff Green Park and then back to Union Point Park.
Santa will greet children at Union Point Park at the conclusion of the flotilla.

3. Morehead City Christmas
Morehead City has announced its Christmas in Downtown weekend for Friday and Saturday, as well as its Christmas parade for Dec. 10.
Events include a Christmas Artwalk from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, and the tree lighting with Santa, various children’s activities and Christmas music from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at Katherine Davis Park.
Breakfast with Santa is scheduled at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Floyd’s 1921 Restaurant. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 727-1921.
The Chowder and Cheer Crawl with 20 participating restaurants is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $20.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Jaycee Park.
The Christmas Flotilla along the Morehead City Waterfront is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Morehead City Christmas Parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. Dec. 10 down Arendell Street, and participants are being sought.

4. Christmas parade
The New Bern Christmas Parade is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday in downtown New Bern.
The Craven County Jaycees annually sponsor the event. Money raised and toys donated during the parade are used to provide a “Here Comes Santa” party for area mentally and physically challenged youth throughout Craven County.

5. Core Sound Waterfowl Weekend
The annual Core Sound Waterfowl Weekend is Friday through Sunday at Harkers Island.
A preview gala at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the museum features a wild game and Seafood dinner, live music and silent auction. Tickets are $150 per couple.
Saturday’s activities at the museum begin at 9 a.m. More than 75 carvers, artists, model boat builders and craftsmen will present their work. It includes demonstrations and information. An auction featuring 20 select carvings begins at 5 p.m.
A Sunday community church service at 8 a.m., followed by a community breakfast kicks off the final day of the event, with exhibits and programs continuing at the center.
