ARCHDALE — Archdale Parks and Recreation has teamed together with Kevin Trotter to provide drawing classes.
Trotter is an accomplished artist and has been teaching a similar class at the Hobby Lobby in Asheboro.
When asked why he wanted to bring classes to Archdale, Trotter replied, “I want everyone to have an opportunity to express themselves through art. I especially want to reach out to adults who always wanted to take an art class, but never had the time or opportunity to learn.”
Beginning on Tuesday, April 18, classes will be held at the Archdale Recreation Center at Creekside Park, 214 Park Drive, Archdale, every Tuesday from 10 a.m.-noon. Participants may attend one class or many.
Beginners and experienced artists are welcome.
Each class will be $25. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies, including an 11” x 14” or larger sketch book with a fine tooth surface, a pencil (2H, HB, B, 2B, 4B or 6B), kneadable eraser, Staedtler eraser, a blending stump and a container to carry it all in. You can find drawing kits that include several of these items put together.
