Erica Agnoff and Benjamin Martinez of Brooklyn, NY, were united in marriage at six o’clock in the evening on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, NC. The ceremony was officiated by Rabbi James Apple.

The bride is the daughter of Mindy and Steve Agnoff of Wilmington. She is the granddaughter of Evelyn Agnoff and the late Charles Agnoff as well as the late Charlotte and Eddie Brasof.

The groom is the son of Jill and Jeffrey Martinez of Silver Spring, MD. He is the grandson of Jeanne and Michael Martinez as well as the late Ruth and John Davidson.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Samantha Agnoff, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Alexis Bloom, Deanna Harris, and Nicole Graboff of Los Angeles, CA, Alex Diamond, Joanna Krinsky, Hallie Ruben, and Carlye Wayne of New York City, Ally Feldman and Leigh-Ann Pecoraro of Chicago, IL, Molly Martinez of San Francisco, CA, and Liza Stevens of Wilmington.

The groom’s brother, Ryan Martinez of Silver Spring, served as best man. Thomas De Simon of Brooklyn, NY, Sam Feinstein and Jonathan Gregory of Baltimore, MD, Austin Madert of Silver Spring, Chris Martin, David Muehlenkamp, and Will Whitney of Rockaway Beach, NY, and Charlie Moline of Auke Bay, AK, served as groomsmen.

Mary Scott Swinson served as flower girl. E.J. Cichanowsky and Owen Cichanowsky, cousins of the bride, joined the ceremony as ring bearers.

The bride graduated from Hoggard High School in Wilmington and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Indiana University. She is presently an Integrated Account Executive with Turner Ad Sales.

The groom graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Dickinson College. He is presently employed as Manager of Partnerships for the World Surfing League.

Following the wedding ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception on the back lawns of the Country Club of Landfall. On Friday evening, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Agnoff home. Thursday evening a welcome party was hosted at Wrightsville Beach by friends of the bride’s family, Cissie and Claude Bridger, Lynn and Jeff Gallop, Sheryl and Bob Lubanski, Carolyn and Bruce Moskowitz, Myra and Tim Matt, Linda and Tony Puente, Angie and Brian Slagle, and Rose and Alan Zimmer. The grandmother of the bride hosted a brunch on Sunday. Aunts of the bride, Susan Agnoff and Karen Lampkin, hosted a shower in May.

After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Brooklyn.
