Mary Theresa Parslow Swartz
Mary Theresa Parslow Swartz, 73, of New Bern, formerly of Ireland, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern.
She was a hospice instructor for Craven, Onslow, Jones and Pamlico counties. She was former chairman and treasurer of the Craven County Democratic Party and precinct chairperson of the Grantham District. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock and the N.C. Cancer Board, and was as a Marine. She enjoyed reading and scrapbooking.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel, New Bern, with the Rev. Jim Marshburn officiating.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie Swartz Brandt of East Berlin, Pa., and Roberta Swartz Ebron and Eileen Swartz Whitby of New Bern; six grandchildren; and several family members throughout Ireland, England and Australia.
