Effie Norris Register

She was a lifelong resident of Craven County and daughter of Levie and Effie Shute Norris. She was a homemaker and a member of Gethsemane Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lakeside Chapel in Greenleaf Memorial Park, New Bern, with the Rev. Mike Scott officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Register Jr. of New Bern; three sons James Samuel Register of New Bern, Robert Ray Register of Havelock and Michael A. Register of Trent Woods; one sister, Ruth Norris Mallard of New Bern; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pollock-Best Funeral Home, New Bern, and at other times at the home of her son, Michael Register.
