Johnnie Pittman Jr.
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Johnnie Pittman Jr., 79, of Newport, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at his residence.
He attended Wildwood Baptist Church and was a retired commercial fisherman.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Gethsemane Memorial Park with the Rev. William Stroud officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fannie Pittman; one daughter, Judy P. Pittman of South River; four sons, Johnnie Pittman, Larry Pittman, Kevin Pittman and Dennis Pittman, all of Newport; one sister, Lydia DeLorme; one brother, William Early Pittman; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
