He was a U.S. Air Force veteran with 22 years of service and retired from the Cherry Point base exchange.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Greenleaf Memorial Park, New Bern.
He is survived by his wife, Thoy Morrison; two sons, Mark Morrison of New Braunfels, Texas and Scott Morrison of Fort Bragg; one daughter, Kim Voight of New Braunfels, Texas; one sister, Beverly Bassett of Grantsboro; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., prior to the service, at Cotten Funeral Home and Crematory, New Bern.
