She is survived by her adoptive father, Jessey Joseph Mitchell; mother, Kari Ann Mitchell of New Bern; her father, James Albert Scott III of Havelock; and maternal grandparents, Michael Hurley of Texas and Wendy Hurley of Havelock.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Woodbridge Funeral Home chapel on Lake Road, followed by burial at Forest Oaks Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
