Matthew Eugene Salter
Matthew “Yogi” Eugene Salter, 79, of Havelock, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Evangelical Bible Church, Newport, with Norman Waligora officiating.
Interment will follow at Forest Oaks Memorial Gardens, Havelock.
He is survived by his wife Martha Salter; three daughters, Susan S. Miller of New Bern, Karen S. Morris of Raleigh and Sheila S. Nelson of Cropwell, Ala.; one sister, Edith Senna of Manchester Conn.; two brothers, Derrill Salter of Shannon, and Thomas Salter of St. Pauls; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Flowers are welcome or memorials can be made to Faith Evangelical Bible Church, 8170 Hwy. 70, Newport, NC 28570.
