Bowling strikes

Seniors at the Havelock Senior Center recently participated in the 2009 National Senior League Wii Bowling Championship. One team, the Havelock Guy and Gals, placed 16th out of 180 teams. The team members were Dean Roberts, Ed and Connie Stoermer, Kay Robinson and Judy Nebraski. Competitor Ed Stoermer rolled a perfect game with a score of 300 in the tournament. Also collecting a trophy was the Havelock Silver team, with members Willis Peaden, Lois Attisani, Stephene Smith and Don Smith. Other Havelock teams included the Road Runners, with team members Evelyn O’Rouke, Lydia Brown, Shirley Jones and Trudy McVicker, and the High Tides, with team members Mary Ann Houston, Jackie Meade, Preston Mead and Mel Wetzel. A.D. Brady, director at the Havelock Senior Center, organized the participation of the Havelock teams in the tournament.
