Evangelene Green Wadell
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Evangelene Green Wadell, 51, of New Bern, died on Monday, May 4, 2009, at her residence.
She was a graduate of West Carteret High School and Craven Community College. She was employed as a nursing assistant for more than 20 years and was a member of Universal Faith Church, where she was a missionary, a caterer and cook.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Universal Faith Church, 914 West St., New Bern, with the Rev. Darryl Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Shannon Green and Travis Green of New Bern; four brothers, James Green of Havelock, Bernard Green of Los Angeles, Larry Green of Dallas and Jimmy Green of Morehead City; seven sisters, Rose Pittman of Jacksonville, Gloria Tootle of the Bogue Sound community, Teresa Green and Janet Curtis of Newport, and Lisa Washington, Tammy Sampson and Jackie German, all of Havelock; and seven grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, New Bern, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. and a private family viewing from 2 to 3 p.m., and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Tammy Sampson, 118 Legacy Lane, Gatewood Apartments, Havelock.
