Ginger

Ginger is the 1 1/2-year old Yorkie belonging to Marshell Lavoie, a Havelock police officer who keeps Jessie, the police department’s patrol dog.

Lavoie said her husband has always been allergic to dogs, but she said she learned that most people are not allergic to Yorkies because their hair is most like human hair. She said she got the dog from Raeford, and as it turns out, the little dog somehow manages to boss around Lavoie’s two German shepherds. She said Ginger even steals treats from the others and describes her as ‘Little Miss Attitude.’
