Memorial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City, with the Rev. Eldrick Davis officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Gunnery Sgt. Anthony DeWar; one daughter, Katherine DeWar; one son, Alexander DeWar; parents, Eugene and Kathryn Kearney of Havelock; grandfather, Horace A. Pete Jr. of Berwick, La.; grandfather, Dennis Birch; and her paternal grandmother, Kay Kearney of Havelock.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
