Boys and Girls Club schedules fundraisers
The Boys and Girls Club in Havelock has scheduled a series of fundraisers in the coming months.
The first is a catfish fry scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Havelock Moose Lodge on Main Street in Havelock.
The plate includes fried catfish, coleslaw, beans and a roll for $5 per plate.
Tables will be available or take-out is available. Free delivery is available with orders of five or more plates.
Advance orders can be placed at the Boys and Girls Club on Webb Boulevard or by calling 444-5437.
Raffle tickets will also be sold at the event. Prizes include a sterling silver bracelet, a six-person tent with chairs, fishing rods, sleeping bags, a DVD player and a cordless drill. Those purchasing tickets do not need to be present to win.
The Boys and Girls Club has also scheduled its annual benefit golf tournament for May 31 at Carolina Pines Golf and Country Club. Information is available by calling the Boys and Girls club at 444-5437.
And, the Boys and Girls Club of Coastal Carolina is holding a raffle for $10,000. Tickets are $10 each or $12 for $100.
The Boys and Girls clubs in Havelock, Morehead City and Beaufort will draw one name each month through Aug. 8 to be a semifinalist for the grand prize. Once a ticket is purchased, it remains in the running to be drawn each month of the contest.
A final drawing for a semifinalist will be held Aug. 8 at the Welcome Home Alumni Basketball Game. The 16 semifinalists will then be in the running for the $10,000 grand prize.
