Ester Green Moore
Ester Green Moore, 82, 1005 Church St., New Bern, died Friday, April 25, 2008, at Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern.
She was a native of the Harlowe community. She attended Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church and graduated from West Street High School in 1947. She was employed with civil service at Cherry Point as a supply clerk for 27 years. She was most recently a member of Clinton Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, where she sang in the senior choir and was chairwoman for Women's Day, a member of Stewardess Board No. 2 and chairwoman of the floral committee.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Clinton Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, with the Revs. Theadore Headen and Godfrey Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in New Bern National Cemetery.
She is survived by three daughters, Mildred Moore of New Bern, and Pearlie Gill and Teretha Moore of Raleigh, and two grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, New
Bern. The family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m.
The family also will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the residence.
