  • Raleigh Millbrook advanced to the championship game of the Leon Brogden Holiday Basketball Tournament by defeating Havelock 43-33 Friday at UNC-Wilmington.

  • Raleigh Millbrook advanced to the championship game of the Leon Brogden Holiday Basketball Tournament by defeating Havelock 43-33 Friday at UNC-Wilmington.
    Freshman Sis Norman led the way with eight points, helping Millbrook (9-2) pull away in the middle quarters. Ten players scored for the Wildcats.
    Sophomore Shernicia Martin scored seven points for Havelock (5-5), which struggled to generate offense against an athletic Millbrook defense.
    The Rams are scheduled to play Kinston in the third-place game at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
