CarolinaEast Health System recently partnered with Havelock Fire and Rescue in the MedLine Pink Glove Dance Competition to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research (www.pinkglovedance.com). This has been a great partnership — a magnificent example of how two community service organizations can work together to advance care for those we mutually serve. And dancing while we do it. We are all “Brave Enough to Wear Pink.”
Voting on the video began Friday and will continue through Nov. 8 at midnight. We need our community to vote for our video. If we win — if we get more votes than anyone else, and we are up against some pretty heavy competition — MedLine will make a $25,000 donation in our name to a breast cancer charity of our choice. Our choice is Susan G. Komen for the Cure Triangle to the Coast Affiliate. We are working hard to become a part of this affiliate. If we are successful, we will be able to apply for grants that will further advance breast cancer survivability in our region.
Please go to www.pinkglovedance.com/videos/2013-video-contest/carolina-east-health-system/ and vote for us! Or go to www.pinkglovedance.com and search CarolinaEast Health System. You can vote once per email per day.
Please support “Team To The Rescue” again and again and again. Thank you.
