  • In reference to the recent drug bust by the Havelock Police Department and the federal agents (Nov. 21 edition), it took nine HPD and four federal agents to take down one person over an amount of marijuana? The person did it before and then there was the shopping stuff. big deal.
Thirteen armed people against ONE unarmed person who had no record of violence or the fact that he had no weapons?
Lack of a better term, this was total overkill. If all these law enforcement people had nothing better to do, then it is very clear that there are too many law enforcement people around. By the way, there are too many HPD for the size of Havelock. Just for the record, the government of Havelock only administers around 10,000 people, not the 23,000 that the records show.
